Dubai Quality Award is a process for recognising role model organisations, and for providing organisations with a ‘roadmap’ to achieve excellence through the adoption of good practices and soundly-based approaches that are deployed systematically and are continuously measured and reviewed.
Dubai Quality Award is a framework that ensures that all different initiatives are pulling in the desired direction. The methodology and main criteria of the award are encapsulated in the EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) model that provides organisations with a tool to benchmark performance and document existing gaps.
We undertake process improvement projects
for our clients and deliver our projects on time, on budget
and to a standard that exceeds their expectations.
Key Benefits
- This model provides a holistic framework for organisational excellence.
- All nine criterion parts work as one complete system, such that any deficiency in one area will affect the score in other areas.
- The model focuses on the whole, where the whole is larger than the sum of its parts.
- The model acknowledges the fact that there may be more than one approach for achieving excellence.
Advisory Service
Details
- Gap Analysis : At this stage, we shall conduct a Gap Analysis after assessment of your Organization’s current state of Quality Standards and their implementation, in context with the guidelines set by the EFQM model, upon which the Dubai Quality Awards are based.
For this, we would study the existing practice of various Policies and Processes in your Organization and prepare a report that would reflect a gap analysis for the same.
- Training :
We recommend two levels of training. One Training Program would be required for the Key Personnel who need to understand the overview of the EFQM model with some details so as to be able to appreciate the significance of the same.
The next Training Program would be required for the Key Personnel who need to understand the details of the EFQM model to a great length, since they would be directly involved in the actual implementation of the system, as well in developing the document. These would be the “Criteria Owners” or their direct Representatives.
- Monitoring and Overseeing the Compilation of the Submission Document for the DQA : This includes assisting in developing/updating/implementing the Submission Document by formalizing the Key Business Processes identified by your Key Personnel, assisting them in actual implementation and review of the various Procedures identified by them in the Organization, and assisting them in developing a Methodology for Measurement and Review.
It must be clear that the actual preparation of the Submission Document must be done by the concerned Criterion Owners themselves, since this way only can we ensure that they attain true ownership of the contents therein.
- Readiness Review : EBM
shall conduct a Readiness Review along with Key Personnel from your company in order to validate the effectiveness of the implementation. A report would be prepared at the end of this stage.
